the timeline.
thursday - Day off. Wake up 830 to venture into Manchester to seek out Holier Than Thou ( it really is) and sort out getting needles shoved thru my flesh. Goal - self expression of the holy kind. Success? I think so. Im happy.
Friday - back at work, no one really seemed to notice. But then, this is Britain, land of stiff upper lips and eyes which look away. So they looked away, though I do think one old lady was trying very much to keep my face focused in her direction..that or she was deaf and was trying to read my lips. Basically - a bit of an anticlimax. I had to call my father to get any sort of ' Dont you dare come to my house with that Thing in your face'
Afterwork, go to inlaws, and around 3 in the morning - hyperextend and sprain my knee.
7 am - Saturday morning. Pain, sickness ( from drinking) and a doctors note which states the above, I finally get home and pass into drunkan/paininduced/sleep deprivation minicoma. Hours later, wake up.
Im off of work until Tuesday. I would like to point out that this is NOT what I meant when I said ' id like a few days off.' I should be frolicking, showing off my metal face and dancing in the moonlight. Now Im limping for takeaway and still feeling alchohol belly. Bleh.
Moral of story, boys girls and others - Dont drink. Do get your nose pierced (or anywhere else). Do tell your father, because he will wave his finger and that vein in his forehead will protrude and you'll get that 15 mins of rebel feeling you were after since you reached puberty, but sadly never managed because you were a Good Girl ; not because youre a prude, but because you're too intelligent to become a druggy/slut/cult member and thus had a really rather dull adolescence.
